Founded in 1944, Fairchild Precision Parts is a family of precision machinists and engineers headquartered in Winsted, Connecticut. For over 80 years, we have built a reputation as a trusted supplier of high-volume, tight-tolerance CNC and Swiss turned components for aerospace, defense, fluid control, instrumentation, and industrial equipment manufacturers across the United States. 80+ YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

Since its inception in 1944, Fairchild has served as experts in precision machining to industry leaders. Originally founded as a Brown & Sharpe screw machine shop to support the U.S.’s WWII efforts, Fairchild has evolved over the years to stay at the forefront of the industry with the latest technology. Now, Fairchild has top of the line Swiss CNC machines offering turning and milling services and quality assurance backed by sophisticated inspection technology.

MEET LELAND, OUR LEADER

Leland is our President at Fairchild Precision Parts and leads the company’s commitment to delivering high-quality, tight-tolerance components with a focus on innovation, efficiency, and trusted customer partnerships. Before joining Fairchild, Leland spent eight years at Lockheed Martin, contributing to the PAC-3 CLS and F-35 JSF programs in engineering and program management roles. He is also an active member of the Aerospace Components Manufacturers (ACM) organization, collaborating with industry leaders to strengthen Connecticut’s manufacturing sector. With over a decade of experience in advanced manufacturing, Leland combines strategic leadership with deep technical expertise to ensure Fairchild consistently exceeds customer expectations for quality, reliability, and on-time delivery.

MEET KIRSTEN, OUR IMPROVEMENT CHAMPION

Kirsten is the Vice President of Operations, spearheading Business Performance Management and Transformation, along with overseeing Operations. Before joining Fairchild, Kirsten was an Engagement Manager at Oliver Wyman, a Management Consultancy, where she led teams of up to six consultants on a variety of projects including growth strategy, business performance, value-based pricing, and customer retention. Kirsten holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering and Applied Mathematics, with a minor in Business, from Auburn University, as well as a Master of Science in Engineering Systems Management from Texas A&M University. Her comprehensive experience and educational background make her a pivotal force in driving operational excellence at Fairchild Precision Parts.

MEET CHUCK, YOUR PARTNER FOR PRECISION PARTS

Chuck served as a Naval Flight Officer for eight years, where he was a Mission Commander on the P-3C Orion and MQ-4C Triton. During this time, he worked closely with aerospace primes while conducting operational test flights on both platforms. Following his military service, Chuck built a successful career in outside sales, most recently supporting fixturing and tooling solutions for aerospace companies such as GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, and Sikorsky. With his diverse background, passion for problem-solving, and dedication to customer service, Chuck is committed to ensuring every customer has an outstanding experience with Fairchild Precision Parts.
