JOB OPENING: QUALITY ASSURANCE INSPECTOR

ROLE OVERVIEW

Role: Quality Assurance Inspector

Reports to: Quality Assurance Supervisor

Employment Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Summary: We are seeking a Quality Assurance Inspector for our CNC precision manufacturing company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting products to ensure they meet or exceed the company’s rigorous quality standards and customer expectations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs inspections on products and raw material in accordance with production requirements, documenting results.
  • Performs special inspections as requested (e.g., first article, first piece, re-inspections).
  • Identifies and documents nonconformances properly, escalating to supervisor for disposition.
  • Coordinate and work with the manufacturing personnel to contain and resolve quality issues as they arise.
  • Maintain proper condition of issued gages and tools and return them to designated areas as applicable.
  • Suggest new testing or inspection methods to minimize inspection efforts while assuring quality.
  • Perform maintenance of quality equipment as needed.
  • Abide by the Quality Management System and established policies/procedures, ensuring a safe, clean working environment and product quality that is free of FOD.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing environment where inspections were performed. Experience with tight tolerance and critical component manufacturing preferred.
  • Proficiency with inspection instrumentation, such as calipers, micrometers, gages, and optical comparators.
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100D)
  • Basic Proficiency with Microsoft products (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word)
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Strong organization and time management abilities.
